The Exploitation That Feeds Our Nation: Our Food, Farmworkers, and the Urgency of Immigration Reform

On November 16, 2009, Orlando YAYA and the UCF Alpha Alpha Chapter of Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. organized an event called: “The Exploitation That Feeds Our Nation: Our Food, Farmworkers, and the Urgency of Immigration Reform”

The presentation was attended by 25 people and focused on the issues faced by farm workers; how their legal status affects their lives, why comprehensive immigration reform is important and how people can support it.

Orlando YAYA was excited to cosponsor this event with the fraternity and we hope that we can continue working with the LAMBDAS in the future.
