In April, the Pinellas Support Committee of NFWM held their annual Strawberry Festival. This year’s program honored PSC member Dave Haney and former NFWM organizer, Bert Perry. For many years, Dave helped organize the Christmas Toy Drive and community Posadas for farm worker camps in the Tampa area, as well as activities through St. Clement Catholic Church. Bert, the keynote speaker, recounted stories of her 30 plus years organizing in Florida and around the country on behalf of farm worker justice. Bert had worked closely with the PSC from the beginning.
