Immediate Position Available:  Business Manager/Bookkeeper

National Farm Worker Ministry (NFWM), National Office, Raleigh, NC

Part-time (8 hours)

National Farm Worker Ministry, a small faith-based nonprofit, seeks a part-time (approximately 8 hours) Business Manager/Bookkeeper to assist the Executive Director in the financial management of the organization.

 Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Semi-monthly payroll and accompanying federal and state taxes in multiple jurisdictions
  • Pension plan and health care insurance management and oversight
  • Weekly bank deposit, including recording deposit in Quickbooks
  • Bill payment and reimbursement
  • Monthly account reconciliations
  • Monthly preparation of financial reports for Executive Director and Board
  • Assistance to Executive Director in preparation of annual income and expense budget|

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or business administration preferred
  • Bookkeeping/accounting skills; fund management
  • Experience with non-profits preferred
  • Computer proficiency: Quickbooks, Excel , Word
  • Self-starter; ability to work in a team setting; attention to detail

Compensation:   Based on experience
