On March 12, 2010, Deland YAYAs and Orlando YAYAs got together at Sak Comedy Club in Orlando. The event was scheduled as part of a theater workshop in which Deland YAYAs take part, but was also used as an opportunity for Deland and Orlando youth and young adults to interact.
“I attended the SAK Comedy Club event along with the DeLand Youth Chapter of YAYA. The event was a great opportunity for everyone to connect and build relationships through comedy. It was important that we were able to spend time together and get to know each other. I believe that our success relies heavily on our ability to relate and care for each other. I brought two friends along with me and it was a good way to expose them to YAYA.”
