March for Immigration Reform in Washington DC

23547_1402647347600_1274828142_31216137_380977_nOn March 20th, 2010, seventeen YAYAs and YAYA supporters got in a bus from Orlando, Florida, towards Washington DC, to attend the Immigration Reform March and Rally on Sunday March 21st. We were honored to be part of this historic event and we hope that farm workers get the justice they deserve!

“I felt honored to be a part of the immigration reform rally in Washington, D.C. I was humbled to hear the stories of so many who remain in this fight and at times still remain voiceless. It was a privilege to stand beside them, arm-to-arm and move forward in this great movement. To see more than 200,000 people marching for modern-day liberation was more than inspiring; it was empowering and moving. And to see that many more continue to fight for injustice gives me hope for this reform and for mankind.”
