Florida Farm Worker Bicycle Drive: First Delivery

11On July 21st the First Set of 10 bicycles were delivered to Haitian, African American and Latino farm workers in the community of Belle Glade, Florida. The bicycles were fixed by the Lake Worth Bike Co-Op and were transported by a volunteer from Miami.

The volunteers and the workers were able to meet and talk about their communities during a community dinner that took place at the Farmworker Coordinating Council of Palm Beach County. After dinner, the bicycles were distributed.

We want to thank all the volunteers, the staff of the Farmworker Coordinating Council of Palm Beach County, the Lake Worth Bicycle Collective and all of you who have made donations.
