We were thrilled when the Beehive Collective, a group that uses graphic art for political education and activism, agreed to visit and give a workshop on April 21st to help us imagine and design illustrations for the project.
Their art projects, including the most recent “True Cost of Coal” graphic, served as inspiration for our work, as they are able to convey and make connections between a massive amount of complex, tangled issues in one big graphic.
In the few precious hours we spent with 3 bee volunteers, we were amazed at how many creative ideas we were able to generate.
Thanks to the YAYAs volunteers who came and brainstormed with us, and a big, sweet, sticky thanks to the Beehive Collective for getting our creative juices flowing!
