Kate grew up in Arizona and attended college in Washington state. She then moved to North Carolina to continue her education in theology, agriculture, and social-environmental justice. As a Duke Divinity student and then as Farm Co-Manger, she spent three years farming and growing relationships in Cedar Grove, NC with Anathoth Community Garden & Farm. The Anathoth community taught her to harvest sweet potatoes, celebrate agricultural traditions, and most importantly, support the diverse communities of farmers who grow our food. Now based in Durham, she is excited to continue learning from and advocating with farm workers as a part of the National Farm Worker Ministry team.
